I started this project about a month ago when I was at around 80 some mounts and got the Polar Bear reigns in my daily bag (I did it on and off, just when I happened to be in the zone). Finally got around to farming the Wintersaber one when I was stuck on a crappy laptop that couldn't handle Northrend and then this last week farming all of the cloth and ore to get Tailoring and Engineering up.




We'd been working on Glory of the Hero for a long time but I really started pushing for it the last month to get my 5 remaining achievements done and Ali and Nico made it happen for me (they've only got a few left for their own now)! Protos are so ugly, but I love my red one! Doesn't she match wonderfully with my tier 6? Completed on the 6th of September.




I don't like the Argent Tournament dailies but do love farming old instances, and as silly as it may sound, leveling Tailoring to get 2 for the count and then Engineering to keep permanently to replace my skinning was easier than grinding multiple 100 token mounts. XD

When I got tailoring leveled on Wed I fell in love with the carpet. Such a pretty and fun mount! I only wish you were sitting instead of surfing... Anyway, Euler is a tailor so I helped him farm a bit extra cloth to get his made and we surfed around together to get some pictures before I dropped it. ^_^ I NEED to have a clothie tailor now to have that mount permanently, it's so awesome!










I went back to Dal to learn the first Engineering mount (my 100th) and Zendress happened to be right next to me and see it!

WoW that was an aweful lot of mounts! And a lot of work, but I totally see the fun doing it - it doesnt require specific playtime and can be done whenever you like, and as long as you like. ..but 100!

Grats again, Ann! I'm glad to have helped with Glory of the Hero! I really need to get a group for Less-Rabi and be done with it. >_<

The Dragonhawk is definitely one of the prettiest mounts in the game! AND, we get our 310 proto drake this week! \o/

Exactly. I love achievements, I'm glad they're there because it gives me something to do other than raid.


As long as you're up for wiping until we get it done, we can have it done in one more run.

I'm really happy with it, I'm surprised at just how pretty it really is! They made it big enough that the awkward sitting on it's neck doesn't look so odd. Silly that the 100 mounts reward is only 280% speed. >.>

ali my druid would be more than happy to help with any of those runs, i can tank or heal (not dps)

if you really feel like it you can stalk me down on the tichondrius server on Mystsong or Hiromix

I'm fairly certain blizz changed it so that if you own a 310% mount, all of your 280s fly at 310 now.

I know they did it for druid flight form, but I seem to remember the change being for all mounts.

I installed "Monkeyspeed" an addon that tells you how fast you're moving because someone was odd enough to make it...

And, no, they haven't made mounts fly at 310% if you have a 310%, the 280s are still 280. I do remember hearing that they may do that though, so perhaps in a future patch.

Okay, if both of you heard that somewhere too then it wasn't just Euler having wishful thinking, because he swore it was in the same patch notes as the druid change but it wasn't.

At the very least I'm glad that Flight Form gets it, as Eula's my farmer anyway and she'll have her purple proto tomorrow or Tuesday.

From what I recall the announcement was first made at Blizzcon and is scheduled for a future patch.

Saw a gnome ridding one of these in Stormwind this past weekend. THAT was pretty cool!
